“Chromatic Strata is a series of vessels constructed from individual porcelain elements, layered one upon another until they form a complete body. Repetition creates an irregular rhythm across the surface, giving each vessel the appearance of something that has grown, accumulated or formed gradually over time.

Colour shifts between the layers—sometimes separating them into distinct bands, sometimes emerging through openings in the surface. Rather than being applied as decoration, it becomes part of the structure, revealing the relationship between each individual element and the form as a whole.

Through this accumulation of colour and material, the vessels appear soft, shifting and almost organic, despite the hardness of fired porcelain.”
